New Trader Applications
Please go through the information below carefully, as these points are most important for an enjoyable trading experience!
TRADER PROTOCOL
INFORMATION
- You will be allocated a space to set up on the Sunday at the market.
- Please arrive at the market from 6am, but no later than 7.30am.
- Main Market Set up time from 06:00am until 07:50am and that all vehicles must be removed by 07:50am sharp.
- Car Boot Sales Set up time from 06:00am until 07:30am
- Dress for Less Set up times from 06:00am until 07:30am
- The earlier you arrive the easier it is to navigate offloading and parking.
- Once you have been allocated a stall, drive up to your stall and unpack your goods.
- Traders will then move their cars by 8.00am latest, to the TRADER PARKING AREA LEVEL 5 or ENTRANCE 3.
- Traders may NOT park in other areas as the vacant parking spaces are for CUSTOMERS ONLY.
- Market opens at 9am.
- Staff are available to assist you with flatbed trolleys should you not be able to park directly at your stall, or if you arrive after 7.30am (a small tip would be appreciated if you receive good service)
COSTS AND PAYMENTS
- Please refer to your contract for the cost of your stall as costs vary.
- Please use your NAME and SURNAME as your reference number when making payments.
- All payments to be made before close of business on Wednesday prior to the market to confirm your booking.
- Payments made later than Wednesday will not reflect in our account on time
- Please bring proof of payment with you on Sunday or email to info@rosebanksundaymarket.co.za.
- 2 tables (or one if you only book one) are included in the cost of the stall whether you choose to use them or not.
- Payment is non-refundable due to cancellation or ‘no show’ at the market
- Additional tables may be rented at a cost of R50 each for the day, if there is space on your stall. Only certain stalls can accommodate additional tables.
STALL SETUP
- Please bring your own chairs, as Rosebank Sunday Market does not supply chairs.
- Please bring your own clothing rails as Rosebank Sunday Market does not supply rails.
- Traders must use hessian cloths which reach down to the floor to cover all goods stored under the table
- Food or Deli traders can use BLACK cloths to the floor
- Hessian can be bought at Westpack, Chamdor, Builders Warehouse, Oriental Plaza
- Black cloths can be purchased at the market
- For your first day of trading please use black cloths or dark coloured cloths down to the floor if you don’t have the required cloths
- From your second day of trading you will be required to bring hessian fabric to cover your table down to the floor to hide all your packaging and to conform to the ‘look and feel’ of the market décor
- You may cover the top of the table with branded cloths or cloths of your own choice
- Trader who do not have the correct cloths will not be allowed to trade after the first time
CREDIT CARDS
- Traders may use the RSM credit card machines. 5% will be deducted to partially cover banking fees and admin fees
- Please ensure that we have your banking details for refunds, if you use our credit card machines
- Refunds will be done on the Monday following the market day
PACKING UP
- Packing starts at 4pm, but not earlier than 4pm
- Cars will be allowed in from 4.15pm
- When packing up, please place all your garbage in a bag and deposit these bags in one of the large bins in the area
- Parking tickets can be paid at the regular parking machines at R10 for the day.
- Parking Pay Stations are all around the market area, at the lifts near the restrooms, the entrance to the market and the Woolworths Lifts.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
- PLEASE WATCH YOUR VALUABLES AT ALL TIMES. IT IS ADVISABLE TO KEEP A BAG/MONEY BELT ON YOU AT ALL TIMES. DO NOT LEAVE PHONES, WALLETS ON YOUR TABLE, CHAIR OR EVEN ON THE FLOOR
- Food traders may ONLY use municipal gas appliances compatible with our gas lines OR electrical appliances
- NO GAS CYLINDERS ARE ALLOWED

- By your participation in the Rosebank Sunday Market activities you agree to abide by the terms and conditions as set out in our agreement.
- Rosebank Sunday Market does not accept any liability to any person for any loss of or damage to goods or for injury to or death of persons whether arising from negligence or otherwise and in any way caused by or connected with the Rosebank Sunday Market.
SMOKING
- Smoking is not allowed anywhere in this area according to the regulations in the Rosebank Mall. You may smoke on the open Rooftop

Submission of this form constitutes an application only and does not secure a spot in the market. All applications undergo an approval process. Should your application be successful, you will be contacted and required to provide further documentation and sign the official Trader User Agreement.
